We are delighted to announce the recent publication of a co-authored book chapter on "Rerouting the Connections in Highland South Asia: Infrastructure Development and Embodied Travel Practices in Sikkim-Darjeeling Himalayas" by our faculty member Dr Nilamber Chhetri and Archana Pathak, a PhD student at SHSS IIT Mandi. The chapter discusses in depth the positive and negative impact of new and existing roadways on the communities across Sikkim, which promote mobility across borderlands in a precarious Himalayan region. It forms a part of the volume "Great Transition in India: An Interdisciplinary Approach", edited by Chanwahn Kim and Misu Kim.
