Jain secured All India Rank 14 in the Civil Services Examination 2021, emerging as one of the top performers of his batch. Prior to his current posting, he served as Joint Magistrate and SDM (Sadar) in since August 2024.

An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, he holds a degree in Chemical Engineering. Before joining the , he was part of the Indian Postal Service (2020 batch)
