The International Dhamma Practice Program for the Chinese-Speaking Zone 2025 was held from December 14 to December 21 at Suan Phanawat in northern Thailand. Nearly 200 participants from seven countries joined the retreat, including Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand. Participants were divided into three age groups and practiced in separate meditation halls, with monks and volunteers guiding them throughout the program.

The retreat took place in a beautiful mountain area with cool and comfortable weather. Trees, flowers, and wide green fields surrounded the site, creating a calm and clean environment. This natural setting helped everyone feel relaxed and focused. Senior monks from Chinese-speaking countries taught the Dhamma and guided meditation based on the Buddha’s Middle Way, which emphasizes balance, mindfulness, and calm awareness.

Each day included chanting, listening to Dhamma talks, sitting meditation, and walking meditation. Participants also made merit by offering alms, giving Sangha donations, and walking respectfully around the sacred pagoda. Everyone observed the Eight Precepts and practiced meditation from morning until night. Many shared that the simple lifestyle, healthy food, and quiet surroundings helped their minds settle easily.

During the experience-sharing session, participants spoke about discovering happiness through the stillness of their mind at the core center of the body. Some felt deep peace for the first time. One beginner shared a gentle inner experience that brought joy and confidence. This reflects the Middle Way meditation, which helps people find true peace within themselves. When craving, hatred, and ignorance slowly fade, inner conflict also fades. This inner peace becomes the foundation of real and lasting world peace. 29/12/2025
