How commercial soaps cause environmental damage?
We use commercial shops daily as an act of personal hygiene our entire lives without even realising that it's damaging the planet in all sorts of ways.

Most commercial soaps use phosphates, phosphonates and percarboxylates as enhancers. These act as algae fertilizers due to which large amount of algae depletes the oxygen level in the water, which kills aquatic plants and animals specially in lakes and rivers.

Commercial shops are mass produced by multinational companies and made with cheap ingredients. They are factory produced creating large amount of environmental waste.

Unlike commercial soaps natural handmade soaps do not contain unnecessary synthetic ingredients or artificial fragrances/perfume and a gentle on your skin.

Handmade soaps are as effective as commercial soaps and therefore switching to handmade soaps is not only a step towards saving the environment but also healthy for your skin.

Do check your commercial soaps for hazardous chemicals like benzaldehyde, benzylacetate, sodium Laurel sulfate (SLS) and ethanol.
