Thakur Shyamnarayan College of Education and Research, in collaboration with the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), South Korea, organized an Online Orientation and Introductory Session on Peace Leadership Training and Education (PLTE) on 23rd June 2026 from 5:00 under the guidance of our Trustee, Shri Rakesh V. Singhji, in the presence of our Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Megha D. Gokhe, and Coordinator Dr. Anju Chaplot.

The session commenced at 5:00 p.m. through the Zoom platform. The representatives of IWPG welcomed the participants and introduced the organization, highlighting its vision of promoting peace through education and leadership. The speakers informed the participants about IWPG’s global presence and its initiatives aimed at empowering women and fostering a culture of peace across nations.

A detailed presentation on the Peace Leadership Training and Education (PLTE) programme was conducted. The resource persons explained the objectives, structure, and benefits of the programme for future educators. Information regarding the General Course and Instructor Course was shared, along with the schedule and mode of conducting the classes.

The participants were informed that the PLTE Orientation Session will be held on 7th July 2026, followed by Lesson 1 on 14th July 2026 and Lesson 2 on 21st July 2026. Thereafter, classes will be conducted every Tuesday. The speakers also explained the registration procedure, including membership sign-up and enrolment in the PLTE programme.

Further details regarding certification were provided. Participants were informed that regular attendance, active participation, and timely submission of all assignments are essential for successful completion of the course. Information regarding evaluation, teaching plan submission, demo lecture assignments, and instructor certification was also shared.

The session concluded after the completion of the introductory presentation. The programme provided valuable insights into peace education and leadership training and created awareness among student-teachers about the opportunities offered through the Peace Leadership Training and Education (PLTE) programme. It encouraged participants to contribute towards promoting peace, harmony, and global citizenship through education.
