Branding helps businesses in multiple ways from helping them spread their word to making them profitable and successful. Let's explore some.
- Increase Brand Awareness, Proper branding has to be done in order to make people aware of your business, product, or service. This awareness is what forms the basis of your marketing funnels. That is why people say branding forms a base layer of marketing.
- Brand Recognition - The identity that you create during the process helps your audience to recognize you better, and easily, and recall the brand easily. A strong brand is easily recognizable by people and it doesn't take much hassle to identify its products as well. Remember it is not a one-day game!
- Customer loyalty - A well-established brand has a high chance of winning customer loyalty. Yo think about it would you buy from a famous brand or a local person who you donβt know. It is similar to borrowing something from a friend versus borrowing something from a stranger, the latter will be clouded with doubts.
- Builds employee support. A well-built brand increases employee pride which in turn will help them be in-house advertisers of your brand. Isn't it a great deal to say that you work at Google?

Branding Simplified.
This will be a new series I am launching to help you understand what is branding and how to do it.
For starters let's understand what is branding.π
As you might know, branding is the continuous process of building a brand. It's about understanding the customer's needs, pains, and behaviors to craft something that people like, support, and speak about. Building a brand has multiple steps to be taken care of from defining what and why the brand stands for, its creative direction, its messaging, etc.. All of this cumulatively creates a brand.
And branding is not a one-day thing or an easy-go-lucky thing. I have heard comments like, can you deliver the strategy b tomorrow? Or Arenβt brands created automatically when something becomes famous? What do you think about these comments?
Do you think branding is just luck?π€

Did you know that 64% of consumers cite SHARED VALUES as a PRIMARY REASON for their brand relationships?
Well, this is a survey done by Harvard Business Review.
This statement directly conveys how important is branding for any business. Also, we should understand that branding goes beyond just a logo. When branding is done, we should carefully cart each element such that it connects with the customers (or the audience). Also if care is taken to align the brand with the customers. By doing such you can easily create a connection or bond with the customers that the competition can't easily replicate.
When I say branding isn't about logos, I don't mean that a logo is not necessary or you should never make one for your brand. I just mean that logo alone will not help you achieve the brand success you envision. You have to combine this with consistent messaging, a compelling narrative, and an authentic voice. This holistic approach to branding fosters trust and loyalty.
That is how you create a strong connection with your consumers or customers or clients.

NB: There is a mistake in the slide, let's see if someone finds that out.π
When most people talk about a brand they usually mention a logo, a color, or something similar to a visual. But the fact is that a brand is more than a visual or sound or a message. Of course, all these are a part of building brands and developing a strategy, but those in itself isn't what branding is.
So what is a brand?
A brand is a thought or feeling that a customer holds about your business, product, or service. This is the simpler definition of what a brand is. There is a lot more than the visuals that help create a positive experience which in turn develops a positive feeling about the brand.
Think about this, if you have gone to a restaurant that you have seen online. The website, logo even the billboards showcased have this great quality and awestricken content there. But when you go there in person you see that it is just a two-room restaurant, with all the vacant seats, smoking waiters and the food is gross. Now do you think the branding is great? Of course, they have been good at an initial impression but the retention of customers is close to zero. That is not what brands or brand strategy should be built for. The above example has a lot of things in play right. Think about it.
Lets discuss this as a case study later. Stay tuned.

Art as many of you might know, is among the most discussed topics of all time, either passively, actively, or even controversially. So when you think about it art has this special power to connect, entertain, and engage people emotionally and intellectually.
That is the sure reason why advertising, branding, and marketing are always associated with some sort of art. I do employ a blend of different artistic mediums in my strategy. So that when combined with art it can connect with the audiences in a better way. Also "plain is boring" right!ππ
