Can a tradition survive if the next generation can’t afford to inherit it?

• Many young artisans are leaving craft because it no longer promises a dependable income.

• When fewer people learn these skills, centuries of knowledge disappear with them.

• Every craft form that fades takes away livelihoods, independence, and identity from artisan communities.

• The future of craft won’t be decided in museums. It will be decided by whether it remains worth practising.
