TARQ: Sanskrit for “discussion, abstract reasoning, logic and cause.”

Opening next week, TARQ is delighted to present 'and the trees sing resistance songs’ – a solo exhibition by Rah Naqvi spanning painting, installation, textile, and film. Join us for the preview on Thursday, 23 April from 6 to 9pm.
At the heart of the works in the show is Rah’s intimate engagement with soil from sites of conflict and worship, as well as from their mother’s garden that have been developed into pigments.
We look forward to welcoming you at the gallery to see the exhibition.

This is the last week to catch Ronny Sen’s solo exhibition 'The Sun Rises in the East'. The work centres on the discovery of a wooden dog – an early analog AI learning machine built in the 1940s – now a companion to a sixteen-year-old boy in an abandoned airfield.
What has the machine learned over more than a century?
If you haven’t already, do drop by to experience the show in person – on view until Saturday, 18 April.

“Water has become a persistent political question…” Swipe to read an excerpt from Ronny Sen’s ‘The Sun Rises in the East’.
Set in 2045, the work reflects on the afterlives of technology and the uneasy relationship between learning systems and human survival.
On view at TARQ through 18 April 2026.
