Mango Mood

आमच्याकडच्या यावर्षीच्या हापूस आंब्याचा हंगाम संपला. यावर्षी आंबा एप्रिल महिन्यात सुरू झाला, आणि आता मे महिन्याच्या पहिल्या पंधरवड्यातच संपत आहे.

यावर्षी फेब्रुवारी महिन्यात चांगला मोहोर आला नाही, त्यामुळे मे महिन्यात तयार होणारा आंबा फार कमी झाला. डिसेंबर आणि जानेवारी महिन्यांमध्ये आलेल्या मोहोराला आंबा लागला आणि मार्च महिन्यापासून सुरू झालेल्या उष्णतेच्या लाटेमुळे दोन बहरातील आंबा एकदम तयार झाला, त्यामुळे हंगाम कमी दिवसांचा राहिला. सतत तापमान सरासरीपेक्षा अधिक असल्यामुळे हापूस आंब्याची प्रत यावर्षी खालावलेली राहिली.

पुढीलवर्षी चविष्ट आणि भरपूर अश्या आंब्यांचा हंगाम असेल, अशी आशा आहे. पुढीलवर्षी अजून चांगली सेवा आणि आंबे आपल्यापर्यंत घेऊन येण्याचा प्रयत्न राहील.

This year, there wasn't a good flowering in February, which resulted in very few mangoes in month of May. The flowering that occurred in December and January produced fruit, and due to the heatwave that started in March, the mangoes from both flowering periods ripened at once. This shortened the season. Due to the continuously higher-than-average temperatures, the quality of the Alphonso mangoes remained lower this year.
