Working on a compact yet charming residence in Nashik, Maharashtra, we have a unique challenge and opportunity. The plot, extending 64 feet in length, resembles a row house configuration with light pe*******on possible only from the front and rear ends, as the other two sides are flanked by common walls.

Initially, the client envisioned a single-floor layout. However, I proposed incorporating two bedrooms on the upper floor. This design not only optimizes vertical space but also ensures abundant natural light throughout the house, particularly in the central areas, which are otherwise prone to poor illumination. By enhancing daylight access, we can significantly reduce reliance on artificial lighting during the day, leading to lower electricity bills and a more sustainable living environment.

This subtle yet impactful design modification has the potential to transform the quality of life in this home. While this is just the first draft of the concept, it lays the foundation for a thoughtful and efficient design journey.
