Nirav : Not yet thinking yar. But I will invest in FD.
Dr. AAA: Why do you invest in FD? It will lock for 1 year or more than that. And if u require money after 3 months then you will get less interest. By the way tell me how much does bank offer FD rate?
Nirav : 7.25% per annum
Dr. AAA: Do you know that you will get more return than FD with no lock in? Even your bank also use this facility. It is liquid mutual fund.
Nirav : What is liquid mutual fund?
Dr. AAA: Liquid mutual fund has only treasury bill of govt. with short maturity like 31 days or 91 days. Very safe like bank FD. Liquid mutual fund gives you 7 - 8% return per annum And you can park your surplus even for 1 day and u will get 7 -8% return.
Nirav : quite interesting but how can I withdraw my money?
Dr. AAA: You can invest money via SMS and withdraw money via SMS. No need of sign and cheques. You will get money in next working day if you redeem (withdraw) from mutual fund And if u invest via SMS, the money will be debited from yr account on next day.
Nirav : It's so simple. How can I register my mobile number and link my bank account?
Dr. AAA : You have to first fill up the form and your account will be activated within a month. Till the time you can invest via cheque and redeem via SMS.
Nirav : You told me earlier that bank is also using this facility how?
Dr. AAA: let's say you have a account in HDFC Bank. U deposited 10 lakh. They will transfer this amount to their liquid mutual fund directly and they earn 7 - 8 % and u will get 4 % in yr savings account and 0% in current account.
Nirav : So every Indian should use this facility. Let me forward this liquid mutual fund facility to my friends also.
Dr. AAA : When will you open your account first?
Nirav : Right now. Tell me which documents u want?
Dr. AAA : 1 photo, Pancard copy, aadhar card copy and 1 cheque that's it.
