ELECTRONIC CASH LEDGER (ECL).

Implementation of New Regulation for making payment of Customs Duties with effect from 1st April 2023 - Reg.
As per New Electronic Cash Ledger Regulations, Customs duties including cesses and surcharges levied as duties of customs need to be paid only through ELECTRONIC CASH LEDGER (ECL).
The above new regulation will be implemented from 1stApril 2023. To avail ELECTRONIC CASH LEDGER (ECL) every IEC Holder needs to be a registered ICEGATE USER. Hence, Importers/Exporters suggested to obtain or upgrade their ICEGATE USER ID under DSC Mode immediately.

for missing Levels/Stickets

Missing labels/stickers on the freight i.e. HAWB & MAWB after arrival into MAA, which involves further penalty by Customs. There is an Annexure issued by Customs, which states that after permission from the IFO these can be regularized without any penalty.Circular was issued by Customs in 2015.

There is no Penalty imposed for missing labels/ sticker permission. As per facility Circular No.01/2013 dated 01.01.2013, when there is no IGM Amendment, Sticker Permission is given by the IFO thing the segregation time itself otherwise only it is brought to the knowledge of the shed AC/DC. Chairman instructed that there is no need to go for amendment process for pasting label and stickers.
