As part of The Ability Network (TAN), Tech Mahindra Foundation's initiative to strengthen the disability inclusion ecosystem, we recently partnered with Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini to host a two-day workshop on Inclusive Education in Bengaluru.
The workshop brought together educators, school leaders, and practitioners committed to building classrooms where every learner feels valued and supported. Through engaging presentations, discussions, and hands-on activities, Dr. Srividya Sridhar and Saurabh Saksena introduced participants to the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and practical strategies for creating inclusive learning environments. Participants were also introduced to the Digital Inclusive Learning Portal, a valuable resource to support inclusive teaching practices.
A heartfelt thank you to V. S. Basavaraju for sharing valuable insights on the critical role of parents in inclusive education, and to Ambika Subramanian for bringing UDL to life through engaging classroom case studies.
We are grateful to our TAN partners in Bengaluru for enriching the discussions and making the workshop a meaningful platform for shared learning.
Special thanks to Karuna Munshi for her unwavering support and encouragement in making this collaboration and workshop possible.
