Over the past decade, the fourth National family health survey (NFHS- 4) 2015-16 reveals that a dramatic decline in underage marriages with women found to be marrying late even though the trend for men seems to be the reverse, reports the Times of India. This is said to be due to waves of women empowerment which have signaled positive indicators even for literacy, financial means and female health.

“No one discusses the dignity and honour of a man as all are fighting for the rights of women. Laws for the protection of women are being made but where is the law to protect a man from such a women, where he is being persecuted and implicated in false case……Perhaps, now it is the time to take a stand” says Nivedita Anil Sharma.
A women who had alleged that she was repeatedly r**ed by a lawyer in his chamber inside the complex of a district from 2010-2012. However, she retracted from her complaint while deposing in court, confessing that he was innocent and she had lodged a complaint against him out of anger.
