Composting is basically converting organic matter into useful soil supplement which can be used to increase soil fertility. Aerobic bacteria break down organic matter into compost in a period of 30 days to 6 months.

Using bio enzymes and maintaining moisture level and temperature can help in reducing composting time significantly. In some cases good quality compost can be prepared in 20 days time period as well.

There are several techniques to make compost. Choosing the technique depends on the space availability, budget constraints, manpower and end use objective.

- Windrow Composting
- OWC (Organic Waste Converter)
