The four-day event is the first such tech fest in the district being held under the G20 University Connect programme of the Union ministry of external affairs. It entails multiple events and competitions, including overnight hackathons, debates and tech sessions.

“With a vision of ‘one earth, one family, one future’, Gautam Buddha University is holding the G20 Sahastam TechFest from February 16 to 19. Here, participants from different schools and institutions of Greater Noida will aim to boost India’s technology manufacturing culture,” said Professor RK Sinha, the university’s vice-chancellor.

According to Noida Authority officials, work on electricity connections, overhead shades and Wi-Fi connectivity are under way and will be completed within a week. "After the trial is successful, 320 additional cycles will be added. The cycles will be available on rent via an app. The prices are yet to be decided. The app will allow booking and payment for use of the service," said SP Singh, deputy general manager, Noida Authority (traffic cell).

Lulu Group, a food-processing giant, had asked for land from the Greater Noida Authority. The company had also met CEO Ritu Maheshwari. They had expressed their intention to make a world-class mall in India. Around 6,000 people will get direct job opportunities.
This is the second such investment by the Lulu Group in Greater Noida, reported Tricity. The company is also making a food park in Ecotech-10. This food park is being built at an investment of Rs 500 crore. The size of the food park is 20 acres.

Of the three industrial development authorities - Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway - that function here, YEIDA has sealed 92 MoUs worth Rs 1.03 lakh crore, followed by the Noida Authority (362 MoUs worth Rs 88,500 crore) and the Greater Noida Authority (110 MoUs of Rs 74,000 crore).
