We are pleased to provide an important update from the MarkScan team regarding our ongoing efforts to combat credential sharing, a serious threat to OTT platforms.

Credential sharing often arises from motives such as monetary gain, content accessibility, or traffic generation. To address the issue, our team diligently monitors platforms like search engines, social media, pirate websites, and e-commerce platforms. In recent months, we identified and gathered data on 10.2 million compromised credentials.

Our targeted enforcement strategies include trap purchases, legal actions, and collaborating with clients to disrupt unauthorized access. This proactive approach empowers content owners to safeguard their IP rights, minimize revenue loss, and strengthen defences against piracy.
