📊 STT on Futures Just Got Costlier | Budget 2026 Update

Union Budget 2026 has significantly increased Securities Transaction Tax (STT) on Futures, directly impacting retail and active traders.

🔹 What changed?
STT on Futures increased by 150%
➡️ From 0.02% to 0.05%

🔹 Impact on 1 NIFTY Futures Lot (₹30,000 | 50 units):
• Earlier STT: ₹300
• Now STT: ₹750
• Extra cost: ₹450 per trade
📌 Payable even if the trade results in a loss

🔹 Monthly impact for active traders:
• 10 lots → ₹4,500 extra
• 25 lots → ₹11,250 extra
• 50 lots → ₹22,500 extra
