Deshkal Society and AIC - Dr Ambedkar International Center are pleased to share key points of the meeting of the Core Group of the Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues (BGGDs), held on 17th October at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sanjay Kumar presented the agenda, which included the following points:
- Proposal and formalization of the Chairperson of BGGDs
- Review of the outcomes of the 7th Edition of BGGDs
- Planning for the release of the report of the 7th Edition of BGGDs, along with a performance by Kavita Dwibedi
- Discussion on the upcoming two-volume publication based on selected articles from the journey of BGGDs
- Planning for the 8th Edition of the Dialogues, scheduled for 14th and 15th March 2025, in collaboration with the Bihar Museum
Shri Sanjay Kumar proposed Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mulay, author, diplomat and former Member of the NHRC, GOI, as the Chairperson of the Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues.
The proposal was seconded by Shri Akash Patil, Director, DAIC, New Delhi. The members expressed their appreciation and shared that it was a significant moment marking the strengthening of the Dialogues.
Dr. D. N. Mulay graciously accepted the proposal, recalling his long association with Deshkal Society and the Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues, and assured his continued guidance and support.
The meeting concluded with the following decisions:
- Deshkal Society and Dr. Ambedkar International Center will jointly organize the release of the report of the 7th Edition of the Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues, accompanied by a performance by Shweta Mukti, led by Ms. Kavita Dwibedi.
- The upcoming two-volume publication on Heritage, Buddhist Philosophy, and Sustainability will be released during the 8th Edition of the Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues.
- A detailed plan for the 8th Edition of the Dialogues, to be held in Patna on 14th–15th March 2025, will be finalized.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Mulay emphasized the philosophical foundations and enduring tradition of the Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues.

Deshkal Society is pleased to share the coverage (print, digital and visual) that appeared on the occasion of the 6th edition of Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues which was held on 16-17 March at Nalanda University, Rajgir. It was a great honour for us that H. E. Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar made the occasion special by his gracious presence and inaugural speech. Glad to share a glimpse of the inaugural session which appeared in the media 👆🏻
This dialogue was held in collaboration with Nalanda University, Rajgir.

On the occasion of the 5th Edition of Bodh Gaya Global Dialogues, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Deshkal Society and Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) are pleased to invite you for a conversation with the author. The title of the book is The Architect of the New BJP by Shri Ajay Singh, Press Secretary to the Hon’ble President of India. The author not only examines the past of the party, including the vision of its founders, but also provides a glimpse into the future of the party.
