Securing admission to engg college(UPSEE) as easy as giving a missed call
Kicking off the admission season even before the state entrance test (UPSEE) is held, colleges are offering registration facility to students by asking them to give a missed call on a toll-free helpline number provided on the college website.
Sample this. A ticker at the top of the home page of the website of an affiliated college of AKTU, reads '0522-3996200 Give a Missed Call 0522-3004455, Toll Free Education Helpline 1800-300-24666.'
The college also has a provision for online registration.
Last year, close to 1.08 lakh engineering seats under UPSEE counselling were left vacant. Of 1.4 lakh engineering seats in over 300 colleges in the state, only 32,000 candidates had confirmed admissions. The admission figures went up by 10% after colleges enrolled students through direct admissions.

AICTE has released the notification for CMAT 2016. The exam will be held on January 17, 2016 across the country. Registration process for CMAT 2016 will begin on November 3 and will close on December 10, 2015.

Jharkhand Board Class 10 Results 2015: To be declared after April 25.
Over seven lakh candidates appeared for Jharkhand Board exams for the session 2015 out of which 4,54,833 candidates sat for Class 10 exams in 900 centres.

The result/score for Joint Entrance Exam(Main) are likely to release on April 27, which is five days from now. Out of the 13 lakh candidates who have appeared for the exam, only 1.5 lakh candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced).
