I reached the Cockroach Janta Party protest when the media outnumbered protesters. Within hours, the place was packed with students, activists, citizens, masks, costumes, placards, and slogans of “Jai Bhim”, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Godi media chor hai”.

The police asked people not to climb walls and trees. Delhi, naturally, improvised.

Abhijit Dipke was mobbed from the moment he arrived, so that exclusive didn’t happen. But we did ask CJP leaders some actual questions.

PS: The water tanker was emptied in 10 minutes. Kulfi waale bhaiyas saved the day.
