There’s something incredibly energising about bringing people together from across the country, each with different experiences, perspectives, and stories, yet united by a shared purpose.

Our recent orientation program reflected exactly that. Participants joined us from across India and diverse teams, creating a rich and dynamic learning environment from day one.

What truly stood out was not just the exchange of information but the openness, curiosity, and willingness to engage. That’s what sets the foundation for a strong learning culture.

If this is the energy we begin with, the journey ahead looks truly promising.

Reflecting on an incredible day of collaboration and insights at the Sight for All Conclave 2026!

VisionSpring Foundation had the opportunity to connect with a distinguished group of leaders, clinicians, and public health experts at Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital. It was a powerful day dedicated to reimagining eye care systems for those who need them most.

The Conclave was fully packed with various Plenary Sessions and group panel discussions. Anshu Taneja, Managing Director, VisionSpring Foundation, took the stage, focusing on the critical theme: “Sustaining Public Eye Health Impact at Scale: Designing Paid Services for Sustainable, High-Volume Care.”

Anshu Taneja, Managing Director, VisionSpring Foundation, emphasised:

“Refractive error, presbyopia, and the need for eyeglasses are progressively being recognised as essential components of eye care. It is encouraging to see platforms like this conclave giving these areas the attention they deserve. This shift highlights their strong potential to drive activities for eye care institutions. Integrating them into core services will further strengthen impact and sustainability.”

It was insightful to collaborate and exchange perspectives on advancing alignment between community insights and institutional excellence alongside an esteemed panel:

• (Col.) Madhu Bhadauria, SITAPUR EYE HOSPITAL
• Dr Uday R Gajiwala, Tejas Eye Hospital
• Dr Radhika Krishnan, Shantilal Shanghvi Eye Institute
• Dr Sagar Ruit, Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology

Sincere thanks to the moderators, Dhivya Ravilla Ramasamy (LAICO) and B I Cathorine (Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital), for guiding such a vital conversation on scaling sustainable eye care.

From outreach to impact, we are moving from insight to action.

As part of the journey towards India’s clear vision mission, the VisionSpring Foundation team had the opportunity to have a discussion with Devendra Joshi, General Manager (CSR) at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited

Renowned billiards and snooker champion, Mr. Joshi, is a distinguished name in the world of cue sports. Turning professional in 1994, he was the runner-up at the 1995 World Professional Billiards Championship. He went on to become the Indian National Billiards Champion in 2001 and 2006, and the Asian Champion in 2003. He was also part of the winning Indian team at the 2014 WBL World Team Billiards Championship. His journey reflects discipline, precision, and excellence, values that strongly align with our mission. Beyond the table, his interests span sports, politics, music, and reading, reflecting a well-rounded personality.

Uncorrected vision remains one of the most common yet easily addressable challenges, affecting millions of adults and children, and limiting their ability to learn, work, and live productively.

The interaction provided an opportunity to explore potential collaboration in advancing access to vision care. By aligning CSR priorities with scalable and impactful interventions, we can expand access to eyeglasses and improve quality of life.

We look forward to continued interaction and building collaborations that drive meaningful and sustainable impact.

The 6th Vision and Road Safety (VARS) Conference has commenced with a clear and urgent message: vision health must be recognised as a core element of road safety.

At the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, leaders from healthcare, transport, industry, NGOs, and CSR have come together. The 6th Vision and Road Safety (VARS) Conference has commenced with a clear and urgent message: vision health must be recognised as a core element of road safety.

At the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, leaders from healthcare, transport, industry, NGOs, and CSR have come together to advance conversations on safer and more inclusive mobility.

Driven by the collective efforts of India Vision Institute, Mission for Vision, Sightsavers India, and VisionSpring Foundation, this initiative has grown into a nationwide movement, conducting vision screenings for over 2.5 million commercial vehicle drivers.

The panel discussion, moderated by Anshu Taneja, Managing Director, VisionSpring Foundation, on "Vision and Road Safety - Awareness and Policy," highlighted how awareness and policy must work together to improve road safety outcomes.

The discussion focused on the role of corporates, targeted campaigns, stronger enforcement, and the need for tailored communication. It underscored that lasting impact would require policy support, behavioural change, and strong cross-sector collaboration. Nina Chatrath, Trustee, VisionSpring Foundation, also emphasised the importance of prioritising vision as a critical component of road safety.

The call to action is clear:
Make eye health the 5th “E” of road safety, alongside Engineering, Enforcement, Education, and Emergency Care.

Because safer roads begin with clear vision.
