As surface water sources shrink earlier each year, farmers are pushed into high-cost, unsustainable coping mechanisms — early harvests, tanker dependency, and excessive groundwater extraction.

Through our on-ground interventions, we at Raah Foundation work to slow this cycle — by restoring local water bodies, enabling recharge structures, and building community governance around water use.

The goal is to provide small, local solutions that create long-term resilience while protecting water availability for the long term.

For us at Raah Foundation, Earth Day isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a powerful reminder of how deeply our lives are tied to the health of our planet, and how urgent it is to protect it.
