आज, पश्चिम बंगाल में पहली बार भाजपा सरकार के शपथ ग्रहण के अवसर पर, डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी और राष्ट्र, विशेष रूप से पश्चिम बंगाल के प्रति उनके अमूल्य योगदान को याद करना हम सभी के लिए स्वाभाविक है। उनके सपनों को साकार करने के लिए हम कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ेंगे। कोलकाता में शपथ ग्रहण समारोह के दौरान, मुझे श्री माखनलाल सरकार जी से मिलने का अवसर मिला। एक समर्पित राष्ट्रवादी, उन्होंने डॉ. मुखर्जी के साथ काम किया और उनके साथ जम्मू-कश्मीर में गिरफ्तारी भी झेली। उन्होंने अपना जीवन हमारी पार्टी को समर्पित कर दिया, पश्चिम बंगाल में पार्टी का आधार बढ़ाया और समाज के हर वर्ग के लोगों को पार्टी में शामिल होने के लिए प्रेरित किया। भाजपा में हमें गर्व है कि हमारे पास ऐसे प्रेरक व्यक्तित्व हैं जिन्होंने जनता के बीच रहकर हमारी पार्टी को मजबूत किया है।
