Tense.. Uses and usages

PRESENT TENSE

1. Simple Present Tense

Use:
👉 To express daily habits, routines, or general truths.

Form:
🔹 Subject + V¹ (base form) + object
🔹 If subject is he, she, it → add -s / -es to the verb.

Example:

I play football every day.
(ഞാൻ ദിവസവും ഫുട്ബോൾ കളിക്കുന്നു.)

She plays football.
(അവൾ ഫുട്ബോൾ കളിക്കുന്നു.)

2. Present Continuous Tense

Use:
👉 To show actions happening right now or around this moment.

Form:
🔹 Subject + am/is/are + V¹ + ing + object

Example:

I am writing a letter.
(ഞാൻ ഒരു കത്ത് എഴുതിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.)

They are watching TV.
(അവർ ടിവി കാണിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.)

3. Present Perfect Tense

Use:
👉 To express actions that have just finished or have a connection with the present.

Form:
🔹 Subject + has/have + V³ (past participle) + object

Example:

He has finished his homework.
(അവൻ തന്റെ ഹോംവർക്ക് പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.)

I have seen that movie.
(ഞാൻ ആ സിനിമ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.)

4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Use:
👉 To express actions that started in the past and are still continuing.

Form:
🔹 Subject + has/have been + V¹ + ing + object + since/for + time

Example:

She has been studying for two hours.
(അവൾ രണ്ട് മണിക്കൂറായി പഠിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.)

We have been working since morning.
(ഞങ്ങൾ രാവിലെ മുതൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.)
