The word "Azadi" has become a symbolic one during anti-CAA and anti-NRC protest . The word connotes a larger sense of revolution and against the conservative and authoritarian mindset. It arises a feeling against the slavery and fight back the oppression .
The word has a long history . Having its origin in Persia it travelled to Afghanistan ,Pakistan and India.
Once the word "Azadi" was vary exclusive to Kashmir and remained the dearest one and very close to Kashmiri's heart. But the full-fledged slogan came into light when Kanhiya Kumar chanted this.Now the word can be heard from every children's tongue.
