1️⃣ Column Alignment & Plumb Check
Before casting, ensure column is perfectly vertical using plumb bob or spirit level.
2️⃣ Reinforcement Check
Bar diameter, spacing, lap length & cover must match structural drawings.
3️⃣ Cover Block Placement
Proper cover blocks (25–40 mm as per design) are mandatory for durability.
4️⃣ Shuttering Tightness
Formwork joints must be sealed to avoid honeycombing and leakage.
5️⃣ Concrete Grade & Slump
Use approved concrete grade (M20/M25 etc.) with proper slump for columns.
6️⃣ Vibration is Mandatory
Use needle vi****or properly to avoid voids and honeycomb structure.
7️⃣ Continuous Casting
Column should be cast in one go to avoid cold joints.
8️⃣ Curing After De-Shuttering
Minimum 7–14 days curing is essential for strength gain.
