Shocking...

I am utterly unable to understand, and it is with deep sorrow that I must state how shamefully the current caretakers of Dishari's legacy, the Theatre Group of Pune, have stooped to spreading blatant falsehoods about Dishari's history.
This was completely unexpected and has left everyone stunned and horrified.

I did not attend their recent so-called 'National' theatre festival. Yet, I received numerous phone calls from different people at the auditorium concerning the distribution of Dishari leaflets that misrepresented its historical background.

The content of these leaflets shocked everyone who read them, and one copy was even sent to me by an attendee.

Surprisingly, the leaflets claim that the Bangiya Sanskriti Sansad is considered the founder of Dishari, supposedly in 1992.
It seems that even the Bangiya Sanskriti Sansad has remained quietly complicit in this distortion.

Furthermore, how can distinguished individuals such as Mr. Shiladitya, Mr. Bireswar Mitra, Mr. T.P. Mukherjee, and others remain so indifferent, tacitly accepting this distortion of facts?

Even if Dishari were to be born ten more times, no other group could match the dedication and talent that the theatre enthusiasts of 1989 era possessed as founder members of Dishari.
The current members appear to be relying solely on the organization's legacy.

Should they fail to seek forgiveness, they risk being permanently remembered as deceitful and self-serving, thus setting a regrettable precedent of the extents to which individuals may go to pursue personal interests through falsehoods.
When the appropriate moment arrives, they will not hesitate to alter the history of their own ancestral lineage.

It is crucial to acknowledge the authentic history of Dishari, as documented in the ‘Amra Probashee’, a Bengali newspaper from Mumbai, dated February 14, 2003 (a copy is provided here).

This evidence suffices to confront those who propagate falsehoods and enrich themselves by distributing such pamphlets, and to admonish them accordingly.
If they possess any sense of propriety, these shameless individuals should issue a public apology (assuming any sense of shame or decency remains in their personal conduct).

The Lie said to the Truth, "Let's take a bath together, the well water is very nice.”
The Truth, still suspicious, tested the water and found out it really was nice. So they got naked and bathed. But suddenly, the Lie leapt out of the water and fled, wearing the clothes of the Truth. The Truth, furious, climbed out of the well to get her clothes back.

But the World, upon seeing the naked Truth, looked away, with anger and contempt.
Poor Truth returned to the well and disappeared forever hiding her shame.

Since then, the Lie runs around the world, dressed as the Truth, and society is very happy...because the world has no desire to know the naked 'Truth'.

Dear Bangla Theatre Activists,

NATYA BINDU, a path breaking initiative for the advancement of Bengali theatre, through thorough and honest reviews of all Bengali plays staged at Pune auditorium, will be releasing its fifth review tomorrow (Sunday).

The review will be published tomorrow for the Bangla play 'Tiktiki', presented by Dishari, Pune.

As per the latest editorial guidelines, all the reviews will be conducted, perhaps, by different individuals with expertise in theater, using the pseudonym "Hawkeye", in order to prevent any personal conflicts and allow for unbiased play reviews.

There will be a comment box in 'Natya Bindu' fb page, for everyone to discuss each review logically and with decorum.
