Dear, Aspiring Interior Designer, Want to get practical experience?

Don't do these mistakes!

I know these things -

Showcasing your knowledge & expertise to the world
Taking up your own interior project (small/big)
Asking for your fees
Networking with suppliers & vendors
Thinking like a professional designer
...are extremely uncomfortable & difficult to do for the first time, that's why you avoid doing them..

But the biggest mistake any new interior designer can make is not realizing that it's important to do all these things because only these things are going to get you forward in your interior career..

Remember, nothing that you’re doing for the first time will ever be easy.⁣

But just because it’s hard at first, it doesn’t mean YOU aren’t someone who’s capable of doing it.⁣

You CAN do it -

Just give yourself time.⁣

Be patient with the process.⁣

Don’t confuse inexperience with weakness.⁣

Many interior designers post graduating want to fulfill their dream by setting up their own interior business.

But the hard fact is - Not so many actually decide to try.

This business idea stays in people’s minds, in discussions, and some lost notes.

Interior designers underrate their potential & limit themselves by listening to their evil inner voice.

And guess what this this inner voice produces thoughts that stop you from starting your dream business.

Then you look at your fellow successful designers and wonder how did they do it? (with disappointment & regret )

The difference between both is that -
They tried & you didn't.
They found solutions & you found excuses.

Back then when I used to discuss my college experience, I used to recall many things that disappointed me.

But I hardly could recall any that impacted me.

When I compared 4 years younger me with me today, I realized that over my four years in college, I actually have grasped a lot of learning, wisdom, experience, and knowledge.

These lessons aren't the academic ones, but the ones that elevated me as a professional.

In some way, I am still relearning all of these and trying to inculcate them in my ethics.

I hope they encourage you in all the ways they have for me.
