Ferritin Test
A ferritin test measures the amount of ferritin in your blood. Ferritin is a blood protein that contains iron. A ferritin test helps your doctor understand how much iron your body stores.
However, ferritin levels are unreliable in:
1)Acute or chronic inflammation.
2)CKD.
3)Heart failure.
4)Liver disease.
5)Excessive alcohol intake.
6)Malignancy.
7)Hyperthyroidism.

hs-CRP Test
The high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) test is a blood test that finds lower levels of C-reactive protein (CRP). This protein measures general levels of inflammation in your body.
The hs-CRP can be used to find the risk for heart disease and stroke in people who don't already have heart disease.
