Buying a property over ₹50 lakhs?
Here’s one step you can’t skip, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)
Deduct 1% of the property value and pay it directly to the Income Tax Department not the seller.
Example: For a ₹75L home → ₹75,000 goes to the govt, ₹74.25L to the seller.
Miss it, and you could face penalties even after paying in full.
So if your purchase crosses ₹50L, don’t forget the 1% TDS rule!
