WORLD DIGESTIVE HEALTH DAY 2026
Chronic diarrhea is often approached as a label rather than a mechanism.

But inflammation, malabsorption, bile acid dysfunction, motility disorders, microbiome alterations, and gut-brain dysregulation can all produce similar symptom patterns.

The challenge is not simply treating diarrhea BUT TO IDENTIFY the dominant physiological pathway driving it.

And a mechanism based approach may change both diagnostics and therapy.

WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE as we approach the world digestive disease day 2026 the theme for which is chronic diarrhea we attempt to identify diagnostic gaps thoughout this month.

Come join us to spread the message…

(CRC) is rising at an alarming rate in India, now ranking as the country's fourth most common cancer.

Colon Cancer demographics are shifting in India with up to 40% of patients now under the age of 40. In such settings routine early screening is critical.

But are we using the most effective tests?

Standard FIT testing has a biological blind spot: Hemoglobin degrades during colonic transit, which often leads to missed right-sided (proximal) tumors.

The ColonView Dual Biomarker FIT

It detects both Human Hemoglobin (Hb) AND the highly stable Hb/Hp Complex.
ColonView resists degradation and captures the signals that standard FIT misses.

📊 The Clinical Advantage:

✅ 100% detection of proximal neoplasia & carcinoma in study cohorts

✅ No dietary restrictions (significantly better patient compliance)

✅ 15-minute rapid results from a single sample

Screening isn't just about detecting blood; it's about detecting the right biological signal. It's time to eliminate diagnostic blind spots.

Colon Cancer Screeinng : Are we detecting the right signal?

Standard stool tests have a biological spot. While standard Immunochemical FIT was a significant upgrade from traditional Guaiac (gFOBT) tests, it relies solely on detecting hemoglobin (Hb). Because hemoglobin degrades during colonic transit, standard FIT often struggles to detect (proximal) lesions.

To detect earlier, we have to detect smarter.

Biomarker represents the next evolution in stool testing. By detecting both Hb and the highly stable Hemoglobin-Haptoglobin (Hb/Hp) complex, we can overcome transit degradation and achieve comprehensive coverage of the entire colon.

Performance Highlights:

• 97.3% Sensitivity & 85.1% Specificity

• AUC 0.912 (Compared to 0.87 for standard FIT and 0.77 for gFOBT)

• 100% detection of proximal tumors in the study cohort which is completely missed by FOBTs and single biomarker FITs

Advantages for Clinics & Labs:

• Reliably detects bleeding from both proximal and distal colon

• Requires only one sample for dual testing

• Delivers rapid results in 15 minutes

• Zero dietary restrictions for the patient

Colon cancer screening isn't just about detecting blood; it's about identifying the right biological signal to catch lesions in their silent phase.

Let's elevate our diagnostic standards this March.
