Venezia, long ago in the time ahead,
Palaces adrift on the shimmering tides,
thresholds that refuse to stay still.
Walls that don’t meet the floor
slow dancing with the spaces in-between.
A man fishing from his window
Boats already waiting at the doorsteps
Vessels from the future,
a robotic arm scooping the city clean;
a waterbus carrying the weight of tonnes of people.
The city extends into the sea,
through it's mosaic of water streets,
ever-flowing and ever-breathing.
Venezia, where the future learns to float.
