In the Ujani dam backwater, one can find the Palasnath Temple, also known as Palasdeo.
The temple went underwater in 1978 when the Ujani dam was built and since then has only emerged completely out of the water a few times. Built by Chalukya Kings, the temple is over 800 to 900 years old. Flanked with beautiful stone carving all around, the temple is an architectural wonder having endured years of water lapping at its age old stones.
