Talking Tails

Two ways of looking at finding a feather - One that is practical and biological and the other that feels magical where it can be a sign from nature specific to the finder or it can be a message from an ancestor. Each time I’ve found one, it’s made me feel happy, free and as if there’s someone above watching over and protecting me. I like that perspective, adds so much to my day and to my life!

5 years ago this day, I had the opportunity to visit a Gaushala in Nagpur. At first it all seemed normal but as I went inside I met each of these rescues, I could feel a shift in each one’s energy. Some gentle, some worried, some nervously protective of their calves, some concerned what brought this human here … while it was apparent that they had suffered, what was humbling is how the most recent rescues still trusted humans to heal more than just their physical wounds. And each of them had only love in their eyes searching for that in mine … the pictures don’t do justice but I’d invite you to pause, and see what reflects in their eyes for you 🙏❤️
