𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹, held on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟭–𝟭𝟮, was a celebration of stories that heal, empower, and inspire.

Curated around the theme “𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀”, this year’s event focused on voices that have overcome challenges, highlighting the role of literature in personal transformation.

Organized by 𝗣𝗮𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in collaboration with 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗥𝗗 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗡𝘂𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗳é, 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, the two-day festival brought together authors, poets, and changemakers in an inclusive literary space.

The event opened with heartfelt addresses from dignitaries of MIT-WPU including 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥. 𝗠. 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗶𝘀, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝘁𝗲𝗸𝗮𝗿❟ 𝗗𝗿. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗵𝘂𝗹𝗲, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶 (𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗡𝗛𝗥𝗗𝗡 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿. 𝗩𝗮𝗶𝗯𝗵𝗮𝘃 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹 (𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿❟ 𝗡𝘂𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗳é).

Literary stalwarts like 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗮𝗸 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿, 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝘂𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗴𝗶𝗿, 𝗟𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗝𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗲 shared experiences on writing, publishing, and translation.

A short film on 𝗛𝗜𝗩 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 by the School of Liberal Arts emphasized storytelling for social impact.

Day Two featured a powerful panel “𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲”, moderated by Pratibha Nimbalkar Hambarde, and Verses Beyond Sight, a stirring performance by visually impaired poets.

Sessions by 𝗗𝗿｡ 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗵𝘂𝗹𝗲 and 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗲 deepened the reflections on literature’s purpose.

This unique festival celebrated the impact of literature and how stories shape a more empathetic, inclusive, and aware society.

𝘐𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺-𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.
