----->> How do one choose a good final year project?

Choose a final project that allows you to display specific domain knowledge from outside of Computer Science. The code you write for the project will speak for itself, and you will be able to seamlessly talk in interviews about the domain and how it relates to your software design decisions.

Think of your favorite subjects that are completely outside of the domain of Computer Science and Engineering. For example, say you happen to have an interest in food science, particularly the science behind what makes a good cupcake.

A great project would solve a problem in your particular area of interest. Use all the skills you have learned in your classes to build something unprecedented, that is as orthogonal as possible to any application you have heard of in the past.

In the cupcake example, you could build a program that takes data from marketing studies and Betty Crocker recipes to make a recipe generator.

If you have no interests outside of Computer Science and Engineering, you are probably a good enough programmer that you don't need any more help on
