𝗜𝗚𝗞𝗩 𝗥-𝗔𝗕𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗵 𝟭.𝟬

On 04th May 2026, IGKV R-ABI, Raipur marked a significant presence at Innovation Mahakumbh 1.0, a prestigious two-day mega event organized by Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, Bastar, Jagdalpur, District Bastar, Chhattisgarh.

The event was aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, startup culture, and skill development among youth, particularly in Bastar’s tribal and aspirational districts. It was organized with the support of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The programme was graciously presided over by the Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh.

Prof. Hulas Pathak, Head, Department of Agribusiness Management & Head & PI-CEO, IGKV R-ABI, was invited as an expert speaker and delivered a session on Innovating India’s Food Processing Sector: Trends, Technologies, and Transformation, where he shared valuable insights on Bastar’s vast opportunities in food processing, agribusiness, value addition, startup development, and sustainable utilisation of regional resources for inclusive economic growth.

Further strengthening IGKV R-ABI’s impactful participation, three incubated startups from IGKV R-ABI also exhibited their innovative ventures, showcasing the university’s growing contribution toward agribusiness innovation, startup excellence, and regional entrepreneurial development.

On 9th April 2026, a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry along with Startup Chhattisgarh visited IGKV R-ABI. The team included Ms. Suman Dewangan, Deputy Director, Ms. Preeti Khandelwal, and Ms. Ruchira Pareek.

The visit covered the IGKV R-ABI Incubation Centre, where an overview of incubation activities and startup support was presented by Prof. Hulas Pathak, Head & PI, along with Team IGKV R-ABI. The delegation also visited the R.H. Richharia Lab for a guided tour of facilities and expertise, and the Centres of Excellence (CoEs), highlighting ongoing research and innovation.

The interaction reflected IGKV’s strong ecosystem for promoting agri-innovation and entrepreneurship.

At 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘃𝗮 𝟳.𝟬 and 𝗩𝗮𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝟳.𝟬 (𝗩𝗼𝗹. 𝗜) were formally unveiled, encapsulating the progress and impact of IGKV R-ABI supported agri-startups.

The unveiling was graced by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵. 𝗦𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗼, Director, ICAR–IARI; 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻, Joint Director, ICAR–IARI; Shri 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝘆, Chief General Manager, NABARD; 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗛𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗸, Head & PI-CEO, IGKV R-ABI; and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗸𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮, CEO, Pusa Krishi.

We also had the opportunity to present copies of the publications to 𝗠𝘀. 𝗙. 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗮, Joint Secretary (RKVY), MoA&FW, during a focused interaction on IGKV R-ABI’s initiatives and incubation trajectory.

The initiative underscores IGKV R-ABI’s sustained commitment to advancing innovation and strengthening the agribusiness incubation ecosystem.
