*Rajouri Police Foil Bovine Smuggling Attempts; 14 Bovine Animals Rescued, Two Vehicles Seized*

Continuing its sustained drive against the illegal transportation and smuggling of bovine animals, Rajouri Police successfully foiled multiple such attempts in Thanamandi and Chingus areas and rescued 14 bovine animals.

During naka checking at Thanamandi *Police Station Thanamandi* intercepted two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK11H-5485 and JK11F-6223. During search both vehicles were found transporting bovine animals without valid permission. Total 09 bovine animals were rescued. In this regard a Case FIR No. 61/2026 and Case FIR No. 62/2026 under Section 223 BNS and Section 11 of PCA Act were registered at Police Station Thanamandi and investigation is underway.

In another incident, *Police Party of Police Post Chingus* laid a special naka at Nagoon and during checking noticed an unknown person transporting 05 bovine animals on foot from Store Keri towards Kashmir for smuggling purposes without valid permission. On spotting the police party the accused fled from the spot abandoning the animals. Police party rescued all five bovine animals.

In this regard Case FIR No. 282/2026 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation is underway.

Rajouri Police reiterates its firm commitment to curb illegal transportation and smuggling of bovine animals and shall continue taking strict legal action against those involved in such unlawful activities.

*Rajouri Police Booked Notorious Drug Peddler Under PITNDPS Act*

In strong action against drug trafficking Rajouri Police detained a Notorious drug Peddler under PITNDPS Act.

The accused identified as *Nahid Choudhary S/O Mohd Shafi resident of ward No. 13 Peer Kanju tehsil and district Rajouri* has been involved in multiple cases of drug peddling. Taking cognizance of his continuous involvement in such illegal activities the competent authority issued detention orders under the PITNDPS Act following which he has been lodged in Central Jail Kot bhalwal, Jammu.

This action is part of Rajouri Police ongoing crackdown on drug Smuggling to curb the spread of narcotics and safeguard the youth of Rajouri from the effects of drug abuse.

*Rajouri Police Attaches Properties Worth 33.50 Lakh of NDPS Accused Munshi Khan*

In a major crackdown against drug trafficking Rajouri Police has attached movable and immovable properties worth approx 33.50 lakh belonging to a notorious accused involved in multiple NDPS cases and booked under the PIT-NDPS Act.

The attached properties belong to:

1. *Munshi Khan S/o Khan Mohd R/o Dhanour Dhindian Tehsil and District Rajouri and include:*
• *Single storey residential house valued at approx 30 lakh*
• *Electric auto valued at approx 3.50 lakh*

The attachment was carried out under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act by Police Station Rajouri after completion of all due legal formalities. The accused is involved in multiple cases registered under the NDPS Act at different police stations across District Rajouri.

This action reflects the firm resolve of Rajouri Police to combat the menace of drug trafficking by not only arresting offenders but also identifying targeting and dismantling the illegally acquired assets and financial networks of those engaged in the narcotics trade.Rajouri Police reiterates its commitment to taking stringent legal action against drug peddlers and urges the public to continue supporting the fight against narcotics for a safer and drug free society.

*Rajouri Police Intensifies Crackdown on Bovine Smuggling; 15 Bovines Animals Rescued; 03 Vehicles Seized*

Rajouri Police under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajouri has continued its sustained crackdown against bovine smuggling in the district. During the intervening night multiple naka points were established across the JD of PS Rajouri to intercept bovine Smuggling.

During the drive police teams of PS Rajouri led by SHO PS Rajouri intercepted 03 Vehicles:-

*1* Tata Mobile bearing registration No. JK02AW0489,
*2* Tata Mobile bearing Registration No. JK02AP1957,
*3* Tata Mobile without number plate having Chassis No. ZN2CAA1C27901

All these 03 vehicles have been seized and a total of 15 bovine animals have been rescued.

In this connection three separate cases bearing FIR No. 241/2026, 242/2026 and 243/2026 have been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Rajouri and further investigation is underway.
