DPS Ranchi Celebrates One Glorious Year of Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan’s Inspiring Leadership

Delhi Public School Ranchi celebrated a memorable and joyous occasion as Honourable Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan successfully completed one remarkable year at the helm of the institution. The celebration was marked with warmth, gratitude, and togetherness as the entire school fraternity gathered to honour her dedicated leadership and visionary guidance.

The celebration ceremony commenced with a cake-cutting event led by Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan in the presence of the Teaching Staff, Administrative Staff, and Fourth Grade Staff. The atmosphere was filled with happiness and appreciation as members of the DPS Ranchi family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for her relentless efforts towards the growth and holistic development of the institution.

During the ceremony, the staff members extended their best wishes to Dr. Chauhan and acknowledged her unwavering commitment, compassionate leadership, and progressive vision that have brought new energy and excellence to the school within a short span of time. Her dedication towards academic innovation, discipline, co-curricular enrichment, infrastructural development and student welfare has been highly admired by the entire DPS Ranchi community.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan shared an emotional and inspiring message. She said, “Completing one year at DPS Ranchi has been a deeply enriching and memorable journey for me. This institution is not merely a school but a vibrant family bound together by dedication, values, and the collective dream of nurturing young minds into responsible global citizens. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every teacher, administrative staff member, and support staff whose sincere efforts and unwavering support have made this journey truly meaningful. The achievements of DPS Ranchi are the result of teamwork, trust, and commitment towards excellence. I firmly believe that education is not confined to classrooms alone; it is about shaping character, instilling confidence, and inspiring students to become compassionate human beings. Together, we will continue to create an environment that promotes innovation, discipline, creativity, and inclusivity. Delhi Public School Ranchi organised an exciting and adventurous student excursion trip to the picturesque hills of Nainital for 97 students from Classes VI to X and XII, accompanied by 11 dedicated teachers. The educational tour continued with great enthusiasm as the students participated in memorable activities during Day 2 and Day 3 of the excursion.

On 17th May 2026, the group reached Delhi and proceeded towards Camp Nainital Park by bus. Lunch was served en route, after which the students reached Laldungi and were transferred to the camp through jeeps, adding excitement to the journey. Upon arrival at the camp, the students received a warm welcome with refreshments. The day concluded with a delicious dinner at the camp followed by an overnight stay amidst the serene natural surroundings of Camp Nainital.

On 18th May 2026, the students began their day with breakfast at the camp restaurant. The campers then attended a special naturalization and confidence-building session conducted by the Chief Camp Instructor, who introduced the camp philosophy, rules, and provided detailed information about the equipment and adventure activities. The students also enjoyed leisure sessions that encouraged bonding and interaction among the participants.

After lunch at the camp, the students enthusiastically took part in several adventure activities, including the Burma Bridge, Double Rope Bridge, and Ladder Bridge. They also went trekking from Pangot Gaon to Shiv Mandir, where they experienced the beauty of nature. The students further enjoyed thrilling zipline activities and spent joyful moments amidst the serene beauty of a waterfall.

These activities helped the students develop confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure while enjoying the outdoors. In the evening, the students returned to the camp and enjoyed a lively bonfire and music session that filled the atmosphere with joy and excitement. The day concluded with dinner and an overnight stay in tents.

Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan expressed her happiness over the successful excursion and said, “Such educational and adventure trips provide students with valuable life experiences beyond classrooms. They help in developing confidence, discipline, teamwork, and independence while allowing students to connect closely with nature and one another.
