We were there,
From Last round to Last man
We were there,
From Bravest to the Brave
We were there,
From PVC to Ashok Chakra
We were there !!
On this day, 26th September 1994, the mighty Abhiras fought in Kashmir under the leadership of a Kaninwal sardar - Sub Sajjan Singh.
And got the most coveted titles of modern Indian military - The Bravest of the Brave, Veer Ahirs.
During ‘Operation Rakshak’ the Battalion lost 10 brave Ahirs as under:-
1. Subedar Sajjan Singh, Ashok Chakra (posthumously)
2.Lance Naik Rai Singh, Shaurya Chakra (posthumously)
3.Lance Naik Mahabir Prasad, Sena Medal(posthumously)
4.Sepoy Dasrath, Shaurya Chakra(posthumously)
5.Naib Subedar Roop Ram Yadav, Sena Medal (posthumously)
6.Havildar Ram Singh Mehta
7.Havildar Dasrath Singh
8.Lance Havildar Rawat
9.Lance Naik Lala Ram
10. Sepoy Jaswant Singh

राष्ट्रीय अहिर रेजेमेंट संघर्ष समिति, कौम की सरदारी के साथ मिलकर इस वर्ष का , इस मोर्चे के वीर योद्धा सूबेदार मेजर राव अर्जुन सिंह (Sena Medal) के जंगी ठिकाने गढ़ी बोलनी मे मनाने जा रही है।
अतः आप सभी कौम के सरदारों और अहीर रेजेमेंट के जुझारू कार्यकर्ताओं से निवेदन है कि ज्यादा से ज्यादा संख्या में पहुंचकर वीर योद्धाओं को नमन करें और अहीर रेजिमेंट की आवाज को बुलंद करें।
