The World No To***co Day is observed on May 31 every year. The day was set by member states of the World Health Organisation in 1987. The main aim of this day is to create awareness about the ill effects of to***co, the disease it can cause and the preventable measure.

On this day, global attention is drawn upon the dangers of using to***co, the business practices of to***co manufacturers and the steps taken by the WHO to combat the to***co epidemic. Due importance is given to educate people about what they can do to promote healthy living.
