RITVIC - CLUB OF NIT ROURKELA

This Independence Day, Ritvic, the official cultural club of NIT Rourkela under FMS, SAC, gave freedom a deeper meaning by commemorating the 5th anniversary of Nasha Mukti Abhiyan.

Through our street play, Qaidi, we exposed the harsh grip of addiction, how it chains freedom, destroys families, and silences dreams. Staged at the SAC stairs, the performances struck an emotional chord with the audience, breaking the silence around this sensitive issue and spreading a powerful call for change.

Exactly a decade ago, on 15th August, RITVIC – The Official Cultural Club of NIT Rourkela was born. A bunch of passionate, creative minds came together with a single vision, to narrate and share stories that shape society; through the powerful art form of Nukkad Natak.

From those humble beginnings, learning solely by watching and experimenting, what kept the founding members going was one thing, resilience. Overcoming challenges, they paved the way for something greater.

With time, RITVIC grew, moving beyond Nukkad to stage plays, online content and designing posters which spoke louder than words.

This 15th August, 2025, as we proudly celebrate the 10th Foundation Day of RITVIC, let’s honour everyone who has been part of our journey. Here’s to ongoing success and many more years of creativity, growth and storytelling.

What a night. From the wild dance performances to the tight group hugs, from the loudest laughter to the quietest goodbyes, the farewell was everything and more. We danced like maniacs, clicked a thousand blurry photos, and then sat down and cried like babies when it finally hit us, this was the last time all of us would be in the same room, dancing to the same song, celebrating the people who made every chaos worth it. It wasn’t just a party, it was an emotion, loud, honest, unforgettable.

To our seniors ,the tears weren’t just about goodbyes, they were a thank you. For the years of madness, mentorship, and memories you gifted us. You’ve been our constants in the chaos, our comfort in the crowd, and letting you go? Yeah, it hurt. But we sent you off the only way we knew how ,with all our love, a lot of bad dance moves, and tears that said more than words ever could.
