On 10th March, FinCOM conducted an interactive and educative session by Snizzr Technologies founder and one of our B.Tech. 2019 batch student Mr. Tanishq Vaishnav on the topic ‘Stock Market’.
The session started with a short introduction reflecting on the career opportunities involved in stock market, famous personalities involved in it and the potential it hold in today’s world. The speaker gave brief insights on what are stocks and how can one expand their business with proper knowledge of it followed by introducing terms like IPO, stock exchange, Nifty & Sensex and the market structure. Further in the session, important aspects related to trading, investing, technical analysis (TA) and the different charts involved for better description of it namely the line chart, candle stick chart etc, assumptions in technical analysis, support and resistance, key points in TA were explained.
The session concluded with recommendations for resources and books to learn more about the stock market and some important key points to be remembered and pondered upon before starting trading in stock market.

On February 1, the union budget 2022 was presented in the parliament, and a few days later, on February 21, FinCOM conducted a Panel discussion on the same. The panel comprised of existing and former members of FinCOM, who, with their experience and expertise, shed light on various aspects of the union budget.

The session started with a discussion on Budget FY23 as a vision document for Amrit Kaal and social inclusion. Further, we saw how the budget might prove to be a booster for health and education sectors, followed by topics like Privatization and disinvestment, Public investment, Digital banking, public capital expenditure and PPP. Finally, the panel members presented an overall analysis of the Union Budget 2022, and the stage was open for queries by the students.

Overall, it was a very engaging and informative discussion. We have a lot more amazing sessions in-store and expect the same participation and enthusiasm from your side.
