Suppressed Eruptions.

1887, Dec.27, 1 a.m. An acquaintanceisformedwitha maiden aged twenty-four years. She was suffering for the first and only time in her life from dysmenorrhoea. It was proved to be membranous by the passage of a complete cast of the interior of the uterus.

In studying the patient these facts were learned : Light hair and eyes ; thin white skin. Slender, loosely built figure. Weak eyes,burning ifused by artificiallight. Capricious appetite; digestion easily deranged. Me**es always early and profuse.
Milky white, acrid leucorrhoea. Cold hands and feet; palms and soles damp.

Sleepy and tired in the morning even after a good night's sleep;couldsleeptillnoon. Wakefulandfeelsbestatnight.
For several years she has been covered with herpes circinatus. About four weeks ago her doctor had prescribed for it a local use of Chrysophanic acid. The eruption improved rapidly,that
is,it disappeared from view.Luckily for her he was away from home on this night.

When the cause of the dysmenorrhoea was explained to her she was ready to bear the herpes all her life rather than have a return of such pain. The dysmenorrhoea was followed by a brown, acrid, offensive leucorrhoea for two weeks. Then a scanty, dark, muddy looking, offensive discharge came on the menstrual date without pain. This was followed by a return of the leucorrhoea as before described.

While under the influence of Nitric acid 12 B. & T., the
herpes returned to the skin, the me**es and leucorrhoea were restored to their usual character. Then in a few months under
Calcarea carbonica 30 and 2c B. & T.,which were not used in
the manner recommended by Hahnemann,she was freed from
the herpes and brought to a better state of health than she had ever before known.
