LEARNING DAYS-NEVER END

Hi, I am Dheeraj, editor of magazine called Learning Days. In this competitive world only academic knowledge is not sufficient to withstand; this is what I believe. So I thought of publishing a magazine with useful information like general awareness, general knowledge, important historical points and lots more along with huge fun with images, gallery, interactive designs, comics and cartoons.

Let me explain you the contents of the magazine in brief.

History:
Many competitive exams cover very tiny but important points from history which we may not get from our academic text books. For instance: ‘Dog was the sacred animal of Harappa civilisation’, ‘Enfield was the name of the rifle which is responsible for 1857 revolution’, etc….

General awareness:
Important abbreviations, places, people, schemes of government, important organizations of the world, etc… are covered.

News and current affairs:
Month wise news in politics, sports, science and technology, are sorted up to the requirement and provided.

Entertainment and fun:
Lot of enjoyment with funny images, classroom jokes, stunning facts, comics and cartoons.

Activities:
Almost every article of the magazine has an activity which helps you to understand the article even better.

Gallery:
This part is exclusively for you people. Poems, paintings, interesting photos, short stories, etc... sent by you are printed here.

Career guidance:
What to do after completion of schooling is suggested by well succeeded people in life. Their guidance will help to achieve your goals.

Posters:
Colorful and neatly labeled posters on almost all subjects. These provide a wider perspective to understand and learn. Example- Poster on Indian Parliamentary system, cross section of leaf, etc…

Inspiration:
Great achievements are possible only through inspirations. So, brief biographies of eminent personalities are added.

Puzzles:
Puzzles like Sudoku and cross word are entertained to sharpen the mind in decision making.

Moral stories:
In spite of all education one can become a better human who owns morality. Keeping it in view moral stories are presented.

Quotations:
A collection of golden words spoken by eminent people are presented. Sometimes a single quote can bring a great change in us.

Health tips:
Seasonal wise health tips are given to avoid simple but serious illness. At last we know that health is wealth.

Yoga:
A health mind resides in a healthy body. To maintain a healthy body yoga is the best way. Yoga asanas are detailed with demonstration figures.

Problem solving:
Some contexts are given which are incomplete and skillful solution is needed to complete them. Such contexts improve your problem solving skills.

Reasoning skills:
Interesting questions on topics like blood relations, alpha numeric series, coding and decoding, direction test, syllogism, machine input, data sufficiency, etc… will improve your logical skills.

Quantitative aptitude:
Problems on ages, percentages, simple and compound interest, calendar, clocks, etc… will help you in increasing skills in quantitative aptitude.

Compute knowledge:
Basics in computers, trouble shooting, short cuts, information on useful websites, etc… are provided.

Worksheets:
Worksheets of all subjects which covers fill up the blanks, labeling, map pointing, etc… are added. These worksheets can be used as your school assignments.

Art and Craft:
Techniques in simple drawings, coloring pages, origami, working toys or models using unused scrap, etc… are given to improve your creativity.

Stunning facts:
Many of these facts are unbelievable. But are so useful to improve our general knowledge. And sometimes these facts are funny too.
