Department of Rural Technology

The department celebrated World Environment Day by planting various types of trees around the Rural Technology Demonstration and Training Centre. On this occasion, Prof. Ajit Kumar Negi, Dean of the School of Agriculture and Allied Science, and Head Prof. Rajendra Singh Negi Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University were present. They motivated the faculty, PhD scholars, and students to plant more trees and take necessary actions for climate change resilience.

On 13 Dec 2023, A Fresher party was organized by the students for First-year students and Ph.D. Scholars. In the inaugural session, Prof. R. S. Negi, Head welcomed the new students and Ph.D. Scholars and wished them for the future, ensuring that their journey in the department will be enriching & fruitful, surrounded by the most encouraging and supportive environment.
Students from diverse regions of the country presented various cultural performances on the occasion.
