Major Political Setback for BJP in Rajouri; Prominent Panchayat Leaders Join Congress

In a major boost to the Indian National Congress in Rajouri, a large group of prominent BJP workers and local community leaders from Panchayat Dhanwan (Ward No. 3) officially joined the Congress party today. The joining ceremony took place under the leadership of Hon’ble MLA Rajouri, Iftkhar Ahmed.

​Welcoming the new members, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed stated that this transition reflects the declining influence of the BJP in the region and growing public trust in the Congress party’s vision for the constituency.

"This is not just a change of party; it is a clear message from the grassroots level that people are looking for a development- oriented leadership that addresses their actual concerns," the MLA remarked.
