Saffron Organic Kashmiri Kesar Premium Grade 1g
Kashmiri Saffron Filaments Premium Quality.

Valley Impex brings to you, The Authentic Premium Kashmiri Saffron, from the farms of Kashmir Valley.
The high cost of Pure Kashmiri Saffron is due to the difficulty of manually extracting large numbers of minute stigmas, which are the only part of the crocus with the desired aroma and flavor. An excessive number of flowers need to be processed in order to yield marketable amounts of saffron.
Obtaining 1 lb (0.45 kg) of Kashmiri Saffron is known for their superiority of taste and are very popular with the consumers. Saffron is a high quality & expensive spice derived from the flower of Crocus Sativus, commonly known as Saffron Crocus. It is mainly used in various cuisines as a seasoning and coloring agent. Pure Saffron or Kesar is one of the priciest spices available on & 'Earth'. From antiquity to modern times the history of saffron is full of applications in food, drink, and traditional herbal medicine.
Worlds best Saffron comes from Kashmir and is famous all around. Kashmiri famous Saffron fields are in Pampore which is the majority producer of high quality Saffron in Kashmir. Kashmiri Saffron is known for its aroma and antioxidant properties. Pampore, near Srinagar, is the only place in the world besides Spain where saffron is grown. Saffron is the stigma of the fall flowering crocus. Peek inside most any flower, and you will see three threadlike filaments. These are stigma - but only in the saffron crocus are these stigma worth thousands of dollars per pound. Saffron is so valuable because it is a very labor intensive crop, and only 5-7 pounds of saffron can be produced from each acre of land. This makes saffron the most expensive spice by weight - it always has been - but by use saffron isn't that expensive, because a little goes a long way. A single gram of saffron easily translates into golden color and fragrant flavor in 10 recipes of saffron rice for four, several batches of bread, or a couple of big pots of paella. The major producers of antiquity Iran, Spain, India, and Greece continue to dominate the world trade. Of which Kashmiri Saffron often called as "Lachha" or "Guchhi" is world famous for its health benefits and fragrance. dry saffron requires the harvesting of some 50,000 flowers, the equivalent of football pitch's area. We at Pure Mart take full care of Quality, standards and adulteration free strands for your well being.
Saffron Types
Kashmir "Mogra Cream" Indian Saffron is the world's finest saffron. The dark red color and long perfect strands are as beautiful as they are colorful and flavorful. Kashmir saffron is awfully tough to obtain, which makes it higher in price, but Kashmir Mogra Cream Saffron is truly wonderful.
Spanish Coupé Saffron is the top grade of the Spanish Saffron crop. Extra hand labor is used to remove every bit of the yellow saffron style material, leaving 100% beautiful pure red saffron threads -hence the name: coupé means "to cut", as in cutting off all the yellow bits. Spanish Coupé Saffron is a truly excellent crop, especially nice for the traditional Spanish dishes.
Spanish Superior Saffron is the most widely available saffron and is a very good crop. Spanish Superior Saffron has a bit of the yellow style material left attached to some of the saffron stigmas, so it is not quite as strong as Spanish Coupé or Kashmir Indian Saffron.

Walnut Shelled Organic Kashmiri Akhrot Giri Premium Grade
Kashmiri Walnuts Shelled High Quality With Shell.

Valley Impex brings to you, the fresh, sweet Walnuts, The healthiest snack, from the farms of Kashmir Valley.
Kashmiri Walnuts are known for their superiority of taste and are very popular with the consumers. Walnuts are wonderful nuts packed with high protein content and omega 3 fatty acids which are vital for cell growth, preventing diseases and boosting immune system . Walnuts are rounded, single-seeded stone fruits of the walnut tree commonly used for the meat after fully ripening. Following full ripening, the removal of the husk reveals the wrinkly walnut shell, which is usually commercially found in two segments (three-segment shells can also form). During the ripening process, the husk will become brittle and the shell hard. The shell encloses the kernel or meat, which is usually made up of two halves separated by a partition. The seed kernels – commonly available as shelled walnuts – are enclosed in a brown seed coat which contains antioxidants. The antioxidants protect the oil-rich seed from atmospheric oxygen, thereby preventing rancidity.
The walnut belongs to the small order of trees and shrubs known as Juglandeae. Walnut trees are very large, ranging from 50 to 75 feet in height and width. Kashmir revels in reputation in that it is the only region in India where the walnut tree grows. The natural sheen, color and grains are indeed exceptional and unique. The carving and fret- work done on this wood is of a delight.Generally two types of walnut trees are found in Jammu and Kashmir- one that bears fruit and is noted for its wood, and another which is not fruit-bearing. The latter is known as 'zangul' in local parlance and is less strong and possesses no grains.
Moist coniferous forests of the Eastern and Western Himalayas, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, hilly regions of North and South, the Eastern hills, Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh are most suitable for the growth of walnut. Total area under walnut is 67053 hectares with annual production over 71758 metric tons.Given the high tariffs and strong domestic production, there are few opportunities for imports. India's 2001/02 walnut production is forecast at 28,000 tons. Exports are expected to be around 14,000 tons. The current year (2000/01) export estimate has been raised 11 percent to 15,500 tons, based on strong demand from the EU and the United States (due to a smaller crop). Major export destinations during the Indian fiscal years 1999 and 2000 were Spain, Egypt, Germany, Netherlands, U.K., Greece, Italy, and the United States. There are no restrictions on walnut exports and no government export subsidies.
Walnuts are late to grow leaves, typically not until more than halfway through the spring. They secrete chemicals into the soil to prevent competing vegetation from growing. Because of this, flowers or vegetable gardens should not be planted close to them
Walnuts can be relished as a healthy snack or you can make them a secret ingredient in your savory curries or use them in desserts. Indulge in the roasted and sweetened delights of almonds. Happy munching!!

Walnut Types
There are 2 types of walnuts, English walnut and black walnut. The one which we get commonly is the English walnut. Black walnut is mostly earthier in flavor unlike English walnut.
These are available in shells and without shell. Some walnut has the hard shell and need either a stone or walnut cracker to break open the nut. While some variety of walnuts have paper shells which can be easily broken with your hands or by placing them between your teeth. These paper shell variety is known as “Kashmiri Kagazi walnuts" .
Shelled or walnuts without shell is easily available in market. Shelling is done manually or by using specialized machines post which the kernels are stored in desired packaging like vacuum package etc. To improve the shelf life the kernels are nitrogen flushed before packaging.
