Usman Majid Alleges 'Zero Development' in Bandipora, Seeks Early Panchayat Polls.

Bandipora, July 5: Former Minister and Ex-MLA Usman Majid on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the present government, alleging that it has failed on all fronts and has not delivered any visible development in Bandipora.
Addressing a massive workers' convention at Putshay in Bandipora, Majid claimed that the district has witnessed "zero development" under the current dispensation. He alleged that people are disappointed due to the lack of progress in infrastructure and public welfare works.
Calling for the immediate conduct of Panchayat elections, Majid said the polls should not be delayed any further. He alleged that in the absence of elected Panchayat representatives, the present MLA and ministers are misusing their powers and depriving people of grassroots democratic governance.

Mission Bandipora Launches Drive to Restore Zalwan Sports Ground Damaged by Illegal Mining

Bandipora, July 5: Mission Bandipora has launched a restoration drive to reclaim the Zalwan sports ground by filling pits left behind by illegal mining, with the aim of reviving the playground and encouraging greater youth participation in sports.

The initiative saw prominent political activist Mushtaq Hamad Tantry joining hands with local youth volunteers to manually fill the deep pits that had rendered large portions of the ground unsafe for sporting activities.
